This article explains how internal messaging permissions can be configured. They can be set in a way that employees can send messages to users within their institution or to users in other institutions as well.
Below are the possible cases of how internal messaging permissions can be set for users:
- Sending messages to employees in all institutions
- Sending messages only to employees of the institution they are a member of
- Sending messages to all parents in the institution you are a member of
- Sending messages only to parents of students' you're assigned as a teacher
- Sending messages to all students in the institution you're assigned as a teacher
- Sending messages only to students you're assigned to as a teacher
Examples:
1. Sending messages to employees
When "Send Internal Messages to All Employees in Server" is enabled, employees can send messages to all employees in all institutions (e.g. Primary school, High school, etc.).
When "Send Internal Messages to All Employees in Server" is disabled, employees can send messages only to employees within the institution they belong to.
2. Sending messages to parents
When "Send Internal Messages to All Parents in Institution" is enabled, employees can send messages to all parents in an institution they are assigned as a teacher.
When "Send Internal Messages to All Parents in Institution" is disabled, employees can send messages only to parents of the students they are assigned to as a teacher.
3. Sending messages to students
When "Send Internal Messages to All Students in Institution" is enabled, employees can send messages to all students in an institution they are assigned to as a teacher.
When "Send Internal Messages to All Students in Institution" is disabled, employees can send messages only to students they are assigned to as a teacher.
