Academic module permissions

The Academic module in SchoolMind is (one of) the most used modules in the system. It is a module that teachers interact with every day, and therefore it is important for every SchoolMind admin to know what each permission of this module means and what it can do.

Below is the table with permission and explanations of permissions:

Access All Classes	When enabled, the user can access all classes regardless if he's the teacher is teaching in the class or not.	Class Management
Access Assigned Classes	When disabled, even if the user has been assigned to a class as a teacher, he won't be able to access it.
Manage Assignments	Determines access to the Assignments module which is used for giving homework to students, tracking homework progress, managing file attachments, and printing reports.
Manage Attendance	Determines access to the Attendance module which is used for setting class attendance and students attendance statuses.
Manage Behavior Assessment	Determines access to the Behavior Assessment module and whether behavior assessment marks can be given to students or not.
Manage Behavior Marks	Determines access to the Behavior Marks module and whether behavior marks can be given to students.
Manage Behaviors	Determines access to the Behaviors module and whether behavior points can be given to the class, class students, remove behavior points, reset behavior points, have an overview of the behavior charts.
Manage Class Feeds	Determines access to the Class Feed module and whether class feed posts can be added or viewed.
Manage Curriculums	Determines access to the Curriculums module and whether curriculum topics and materials can be added or updated.
Manage Descriptive Marks	Determines access to the Descriptive Marks module and whether descriptive marks can be given to students.
Manage Exams	Determines access to the Exams module which is used for scheduling exams for students and accessing the exam reports.
Manage Marks	Determines access to the Marks module and whether marks can be added, removed, updated, or finalized.
Manage Report Comments	Determines access to the Report Comments module which is used for adding teacher comments that are displayed on the student's report card.
Manage Term Results	Determines access to the Term Results module which is used to mark has the student passed the term or not, did he failed attendance, failed subjects, or has he achieved a certificate.
Access All Extra Lessons	Determines whether the user can access all extra lessons for a class or only extra lessons of the subject he is teaching.	Extra Lesson Management
Manage Extra Lessons	Determines access to the Extra Lessons module and whether a teacher can add, update, or remove extra lessons.
Override Academic Year Lock	When enabled, the user can add, update, or remove any resource related to the academic year that is set as completed.	Overrides
Override Dynamic Final Marks	When enabled, the teacher can finalize dynamic marks according to their preferences, ignoring the automatically calculated average final mark.
Override Fixed Mark Lock	When enabled, the teacher can add and update fixed marks which are locked (have a "lock" limitation set for adding and updating marks).
