Now you can create message templates that can be used to send messages to users. Message templates currently work only with Birthday Notifications.
Using placeholders you can create the message content that will be sent to the user. For each message template, you can define whether the message will be delivered as a push notification, SMS text message, or an email message.
i. Adding a message template.
Message Templates can be found in the Registry > Manage Message Templates section.
To add a new template, click Add New and define how the message will be delivered — as push, text, or email message.
Use placeholders to create message content. Later when an automatic is sent, placeholders will be replaced with the real data.
ii. Message Templates delivery types — email, push, SMS.
The delivery type determines whether the message is sent in any of the mentioned forms.
Note: In order to use SMS and email options, you need to have a plan with some of the supported SMS providers and email client set up in SchoolMind.
Once the message template has been set up and linked with Birthday Notifications in Settings, users will receive birthday notifications automatically.
More information on how to set up Birthday Notifications can be found in this article.
