Two-Factor Authentication is one of the most important ways to protect your SchoolMind ID. The core idea behind Two-Factor Authentication is to use something you know (your password) and something you have (your smartphone). Authenticator app turns your smartphone into the “something you have”. Once you set up Two-Factor Authentication, only you (and the server) know the code from the authenticator app, which is required for the login. You are the only one that has the ability to generate the codes from the authenticator app.
In order to set up Two-Factor Authentication, you'll need to download and install authenticator app on your smartphone. Once you install the authenticator app, do the following:
1. In the upper right-hand corner, click on your profile photo and select "Accounts".
2. Click on your name initials, and select "Security".
3. Under Two-Factor Authentication section, click "Enable". Scan the barcode using authenticator app on your smartphone, and enter the six-digit code from the app into the field below. Click "Enable" and Two-Factor Authentication is set up.
Note: If you are not able to scan the barcode with your smartphone, you can use the code provided below the barcode image to finish the setup process.

From now on, each time you try to log in, you will be prompted to enter the six-digit code from your authenticator app.
