In SchoolMind there are numerous different reports, from finance reports, shop reports, to reports when exporting students or employees.
Some of the reports, especially in the Finance and Shop module, can contain a lot of records, especially when generating a report for a period of two or more years.
When exporting those "big" reports, which are in either CSV or XLS format, it is important to know that there is a limitation of 10.000 records per report. Basically, this means that the report cannot contain more than 10.000 records.
How to overcome this issue?
Well, if the report you're generating has more than 10.000 records, it's best to export two reports and merge them using Excel or similar software.
Why is there 10.000 records limit?
To generate these "big" reports, it takes a lot of processing power from the server which means it also takes time for the report to be generated. When generating reports which contain more than 10.000 records, the process could hang and the user maybe wouldn't be able to download the report.
So in order to make things work properly, the 10.000 is the optimal limit at the moment. Also, please note that there are very rare cases when this limitation is reached, so 10.000 records limit shouldn't be an issue for the majority of users.
