Introduction

Sign in with Google/Microsoft/Facebook option enables users to sign in or register to SchoolMind using their Google/Microsoft/Facebook account. Once configured, the user can access SchoolMind in just a few steps.

How does it work?

Sign in with Google/Microsoft/Facebook/ links your Google/Microsoft/Facebook account with your SchoolMind ID, and makes it possible to access SchoolMind easily with just a single click.

If you use Google, Microsoft, or Facebook, you can use any of those accounts to sign in to SchoolMind without having to remember your SchoolMind username and password anymore.

Sign in with Google, Microsoft, or Facebook is only an alternative way to access SchoolMind. All our users should have a primary means of accessing their SchoolMind ID using a username and password.

How to set it up?

Existing SchoolMind users

1. Click on Sign in with Google/Microsoft/Facebook depending on which service you use.

2. Sign in to your account.

3. Allow SchoolMind to access your account information (if asked).

4. Log in to your SchoolMind ID using your username and password.

5. An email is sent notifying that your account is linked to your SchoolMind ID.

That's it! From now on, instead of entering your username and password to sign in, you can use the Sign in with Google/Microsoft/Facebook option.

Here's a demonstration of how an existing SchoolMind user links their SchoolMind ID with their Google/Microsoft/Facebook account.

You can use the Sign in with Google/Microsoft/Facebook option for the subsequent logins. It works very simple and very fast!

Important note: When you use Sign in with Google/Microsoft/Facebook to log in to SchoolMind, you not only log in to SchoolMind but also Google/Microsoft/Facebook.

However, when you log out of SchoolMind, you are still logged in to Google/Microsoft/Facebook. You have to manually log out of those services as well!

If you're using a public PC, make sure you log out from your Google/Microsoft/Facebook account.

New SchoolMind users

If you are a new SchoolMind user, first you need to create your SchoolMind ID which then can be linked to your Google/Microsoft/Facebook account.

1. Click on Sign in with Google/Microsoft/Facebook depending on which service you use.

2. Sign in to your account.

3. Allow SchoolMind to access your account information (if asked).

4. Register for a new SchoolMind ID.

5. During the registration process, SchoolMind will automatically fill in the required fields from your Google/Microsoft/Facebook account.

After you've registered as a new user, your account is linked with your SchoolMind ID. Now, in order to access SchoolMind, you'll need to obtain an Invitation Code from your school administrator.

Once you're done, instead of entering your username and password to access SchoolMind you can use the Sign in with Google/Microsoft/Facebook option.

Important note: When you use Sign in with Google/Microsoft/Facebook to log in to SchoolMind, you not only log in to SchoolMind but also Google/Microsoft/Facebook.

However, when you log out of SchoolMind, you are still logged in to Google/Microsoft/Facebook. You have to manually log out of those services as well!

If you're using a public PC, make sure you log out from your Google/Microsoft/Facebook account.

Managing your linked account

You can manage your linked account by going to the Security page of your Schoolmind ID. From there you can remove your connected Google/Microsoft/Facebook account.

If you remove the account that's linked to your SchoolMind ID, an email notification is sent right away.

You can also link your Googe/Microsoft/Facebook account directly from the Security page.
